For the second consecutive year, the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) World Series will be hosted by the Cincinnati Reds, with baseball and softball tournament games scheduled from Tuesday, August 1st until Saturday, August 12th at the P&G Cincinnati MLB Youth Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The RBI World Series is the international baseball and softball tournament of the RBI program. In order to qualify, RBI leagues from the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and South America will compete in eight RBI Regional qualifying tournaments, which begin in early July.
Cities hosting RBI Regionals include Newark, New Jersey; Santa Ana, California; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Detroit, Michigan; New Orleans, Louisiana; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Pawtucket, Road Island; and Atlanta, Georgia. At each location, RBI leagues from several cities compete for their regional championship in the softball (ages 19 & under), junior baseball (ages 13-15) and senior baseball (ages 16-18) divisions.
