Our March Awareness Month has come to a close. This month we have raised awareness through a month-long blog series and distribution of electronic and printed materials among the Baseball Family. Awareness Month offered us all an opportunity to learn more about the organization.
The main points to remember are:
• Baseball Family includes former Major League and Minor League players, coaches and managers; umpires, scouts, athletic trainers, Negro League players, Major League and Minor League Club employees as well as employees of Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball, MLB Advanced Media, MLB Productions and MLB Network.
• B.A.T. provides assistance with medical, financial or psychological assistance. We have had a great turnout with an increase in our social media sites and donations. We had a 5.5% increase (12,578 likes) on our Facebook page!
If you have missed some of our posts, don't despair. We have rounded up all of our posts from this month and summarized them.
In our first week, we introduced B.A.T. Awareness month and distributed our brochures and posters to the Major League Baseball Commissioner office, Advance Media, MLB Network and the 30 Clubs.
WEEK TWO, THREE & FOUR
The remaining weeks involved blog accounts about grant recipients' stories and board member Bob Watson's participation in the organization. This past week, we released our Awareness B.A.T. newsletter.
